A cool morning stroll around Lily Hill Park was enjoyed by all. Kindly led by Gill we saw lots of interesting trees, some beautiful fungi and a large dragonfly. From the pink seed pods of Magnolia tripetala and the textured bark of the pines to the huge majesty of the Wellingtonias and quirky shape of the monkey puzzles, the tree trail is well worth a look. Lily Park also boasts the longest picnic table in England, cut from a Lows Fir tree which fell during a storm.
