Sunday 10th August: Lily Hill Park. Our Members Only Summer Tree Walk will be at Lily Hill Park. This historic parkland contains many beautiful and interesting trees – some of which have been there for a VERY long time.  It will be a leisurely and fascinating walk, taking in not only trees but plenty of wildlife – and pond life – too.  It kicks off at 10.00am from the Running Horse car park, is on existing pathways – and will last a maximum of two hours.  More details here.

If you’d like to come along please click here to contact our Programme Secretary Heather King. The deadline to book your place is Wednesday 6th August.

Additional events will be announced soon. We’ll update this page and our Facebook page as soon as we have details to share. To request further information about an event or to join our events mailing list, please click here.

Previous Events

Events for 2024/2025 included:

June 14th: Bat Walk. This was a free guided bat walk around Mill Pond lake at dusk. We saw many of the seven species of bat which live around the lake as they woke up and went hunting for their first meal of the day.

May 11th: Visit to New Forest Wildlife Centre. This was an unforgettable wildlife experience in the heart of the beautiful New Forest. We had the chance to see many UK natives such as barn owls, Eurasian otters, badgers, pine martins, and Scottish wildcats. Best of all, our visit helped support the Wildlife Centre’s conservation projects such as rehabilitation and breeding programmes.

Feb 9th: Birdwatching Trip to Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve. It was a chilly day but well worth it. Titchfield boasts a variety of habitats, including the River Meon, canals, reed beds and water meadows. An expert guide accompanied us throughout and we saw numerous species including turnstone, curlew, shelduck, avocet, snipe, marsh harrier and water rail.
