Dear all, Many of you will already be aware of the annual Bracknell Forest Community Climate Summit. This year, it’s being held during the afternoon and evening of Wednesday 8th July (you can attend any time between 2.00pm and 8.30pm). The Summit theme this year is ‘Community Climate Stories’. Amongst a number of planned presentations (shown during the afternoon and repeated in the evening) will be one by our Chairman Gill Cheetham and Treasurer Ulrike Halmer on the transformation of Nightingale Triangle from an impenetrable ‘jungle’ to the community friendly woodland it is today.
The programme also includes a keynote presentation by the event’s major sponsors Easthampstead Park Hotel and several talks from other local organisations and residents about sustainability related activities and outcomes for communities and individuals. There will also be a marketplace with stalls, operating throughout the event. Refreshments will be available, with the request that visitors bring their own reusable cup, to help reduce waste.
The Summit is to be held at The Kerith Centre in Bracknell, and entrance is free – but tickets need to be obtained from Eventbrite using the link below:
Additional information is available at https://www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/events/bracknell-forest-community-climate-summit-2026 and here. The postcode for the Kerith Centre in Church Road is RG12 1EH – but please leave your car in the Braccan Walk Car Park and walk to the venue.
We hope to see you there.
